#Effective date

These Terms of Service are effective May 15, 2026. By using fixjson.org, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site.

#Free developer tools

fixjson.org provides browser-based tools for repairing and validating JSON, formatting and comparing structured data, converting common formats, and encoding or decoding text. The tools are offered for convenience, learning, and debugging. They do not replace schema validation, security review, legal review, backups, or testing in the systems that will consume the output.

#Local browser processing

The core tool workflows are designed to process entered data in your browser rather than through a fixjson.org conversion API. You remain responsible for deciding what is safe and lawful to enter. Remove or mask passwords, private keys, access tokens, regulated personal data, confidential source code, and production payloads before using the site.

Browser extensions, software on your device or remote resources referenced by content you elect to preview are not controlled by local processing.

#Acceptable use

Do not use the site to attack, overload, probe, scrape, reverse engineer, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to fixjson.org, its hosting providers, or other systems. Do not bypass technical controls, abuse advertising or analytics systems, introduce malicious content, or use the tools for unlawful activity.

#No warranty

The Site and its Content are provided on a "as is" and "as available" basis. Automatic repair, formatting, conversion, inference and decoding can give incomplete, altered or misleading results. A successful parse or conversion does not guaranty correctness for your application, API contract, business rules, security requirements, or legal obligations. Please test and review each output before you rely on it.

#Advertising and third-party services

The site may use third-party hosting, analytics, and advertising services. Those providers operate under their own terms and privacy policies. The Privacy Policy describes the boundary between local tool processing and data associated with visiting the site.

#Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, fixjson.org and its owner are not liable for lost profits, lost data, security incidents, business interruption, or other damages arising from use of, inability to use, or reliance on the site or its output. You use the site at your own risk.

#Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated from time to time. The effective date above identifies the current published version.
